Verkada Viewing Station licenses (LIC-VX) connect dedicated VX52 viewing appliances to Verkada Command, turning any commercial monitor or video wall into a low-latency security monitoring station. Unlike running a general-purpose PC that requires operating system maintenance, local software patches, and browser logins, a licensed VX52 operates as a hardened, purpose-built video decoder managed entirely from the cloud.

Each physical VX52 viewing station requires one LIC-VX license. Through Command, security administrators remotely configure display grids, select up to 300 camera tiles per station, establish cycling video carousels, and manage door unlock buttons directly on the monitor interface. Because the VX52 decodes camera streams directly over the local area network using RTSP while synchronizing its layout via the cloud, video viewing does not consume wide-area internet bandwidth during normal operations.

Licenses are available in one, three, five, and ten-year terms in both Commercial and Government-certified (-G) editions. Capacity Increase (CAP) licenses add new display stations to an ongoing deployment with co-term date proration, while Renewal (RNW) licenses extend coverage across existing stations.
