Verkada Sensor licenses (LIC-SV) provide the cloud management, analytical intelligence, and alerting engine for the SV-series environmental sensors, including the SV11, SV21, SV23, and SV25. Each physical sensor unit deployed in a school, healthcare facility, manufacturing floor, or data center requires one cloud license to report readings to Verkada Command and trigger automated responses.
A licensed sensor monitors up to fourteen distinct environmental readings simultaneously, including air quality index (AQI), PM2.5 particulate levels, total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, noise decibels, and vape index. Through Command, facility administrators configure granular alerting thresholds. For instance, when a vape event or abnormal noise spike occurs in a privacy-sensitive area like a restroom, Command instantly alerts staff and correlates the event with nearby exterior security cameras without placing cameras inside the private room.
Sensor licenses are offered on one, three, five, and ten-year terms in both Commercial and Government (-G) editions. Capacity Increase (CAP) licenses add new sensors to an active organization with co-termed expiration dates, while Renewal (RNW) licenses extend coverage across existing sensor deployments. Licensing includes continuous sensor algorithm updates, 365-day historical data retention in Command, and hardware warranty coverage.
