The BZ11 is Verkada's horn speaker for audible response and talk-down. Users can speak through it from Verkada Command or the mobile app without an Alarms license. Professional-monitoring talk-down requires an Alarms license, as do automated pre-recorded or text-to-speech responses. That boundary should be explicit in the quote: buying the hardware does not by itself enable every monitoring and automation workflow described for the product.
The official BZ11 datasheet specifies PoE+ input, an integrated microphone for two-way communication, and a maximum speaker output of 115dB at the stated test condition. It carries an IP66 rating and includes a mounting bracket; Verkada also lists compatible pole and corner mounting options. The published operating range and site conditions still need to be checked for the proposed location, while switch capacity must cover its 25.5W maximum power consumption.
HTS will scope speaker placement, coverage intent, associated cameras, network and PoE+ capacity, mounts, licenses, and who is authorized to initiate talk-down. Output level and automated messages should follow the customer's safety, notification, and response procedures. Command supports camera-to-speaker association, so the design should identify the video context an operator will use rather than deploy audio without visibility. The quote should separate the BZ11 hardware from any license, mount, cable, switching, and installation requirements.
