How HTS deploys it

HTS deploys the CD22 and CD31 lines the way fixed-lens domes are meant to be deployed: one coverage map per floor, consistent mounting height so each dome's field of view meets its neighbour's, and the retention tier chosen per camera rather than per site. Entrances, cash points, and shared spaces get the storage they need; corridors do not pay for retention they will never use. The 802.3af PoE draw is confirmed against the switch budget per run before anything is ordered.

Every unit is pre-configured before it ships — VLAN, firmware, and Command onboarding done in our staging area, not on your ceiling — so field time is mounting and aiming, which is why the fixed lens keeps schedule risk low. After turn-up there is one support line: the team that configured the cameras is the team that answers.

What it costs to run over three years

The camera is a one-time cost; the recurring cost is one Verkada camera licence per device, sold in 1-, 3-, 5-, or 10-year terms. Figures below are HTS catalog prices from the 2026-09-21 pricebook snapshot — the store always lists current pricing.

• CD22 hardware, one-time: $759.05 (256GB / 30-day retention), $1,424.05 (512GB / 60-day), $2,089.05 (768GB / 90-day). Outdoor-rated -E housings add $190 per camera.
• Camera licence, per camera: $236.55 for one year, $626.05 for three, $1,044.05 for five. The three-year term saves $83.60 per camera against three single years.
• Worked example: eight indoor CD22-256 cameras on three-year licences run $759.05 + $626.05 = $1,385.10 per camera — $11,080.80 for the site over three years, hardware, licences, and cloud retention included.
• Mounting hardware is one-time and small: pendant cap $75.05, tile clips $103.55, recessed ceiling $160.55, per the mounting points on your plan.
• At renewal you are buying licences again, not cameras — which is why matching the licence term to your lease or budget cycle matters more than the hardware decision.

What else this needs

• One camera licence per device (LIC-CAM-*) — no camera records in Command without one.
• A standard PoE (802.3af) port per camera, with run length verified to the mounting point.
• Always-on internet at the site; retention lives in Verkada Command, or on a Command Connector where a site keeps footage on-prem.
• Mounting hardware matched to the ceiling type — pendant, recessed, tile-clip, and junction-box options are carried in the pairs-with registry.
• Exterior points need the -E weather-rated variant rather than an indoor camera in an enclosure.
