Official documentation

Command Connector is video infrastructure for organizations that need to bring supported third-party cameras into Verkada Command while preserving an existing camera investment. It is not a universal camera adapter. The reviewed manufacturer overview distinguishes the features available to connected third-party cameras from those available to native Verkada cameras, and several analytics, alerting, audio, and device-health capabilities are partial or unavailable. HTS will validate every proposed camera model, stream profile, network path, and required Command feature before treating a connector as compatible.

The catalog contains three hardware tiers. CC300-4TB-HW and CC300-8TB-HW support up to ten channels at 5MP or lower, or five 4K channels, with published 30-day and 60-day maximum retention configurations. CC500-8TB-HW and CC500-16TB-HW support up to twenty-five channels at 5MP or lower, or twelve 4K channels, with the same two retention tiers. CC700-16TB-HW and CC700-32TB-HW support up to fifty channels at 5MP or lower, or twenty-five 4K channels. The reviewed overview notes that retention values assume all channels are used and that unused capacity may permit additional retention, so HTS will not promise a retention period without the final camera count and stream design.

CC700-16TB-HW-F is the catalog's government variant. Its FIPS-validated designation must remain scoped to that exact row and must not be generalized to another connector. Before quoting, HTS will confirm rack space, power, switching, camera protocols and credentials, bandwidth, resolution, frame rate, channel count, retention objective, licensing, and the specific Command workflows the customer expects. The final design should document any feature gaps for third-party cameras. Pricing, availability, camera compatibility, achievable retention, and migration labor remain quote-validated.

How to choose
