Official documentation

The Meraki Go family in this repository contains the GR12 and GR62 models. Cisco's GR12 and GR62 installation guides describe both as dual-band, enterprise-class 802.11ax cloud-managed access points. The GR12 guide describes a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port and power through a Meraki AC adapter, PoE injector, or compatible PoE switch. Cisco's GR62 guide covers the same cloud-managed installation workflow and documents indoor or outdoor use, mounting considerations, and PoE cabling up to 100 meters. The two models should not be selected by model number alone. Confirm whether the deployment is indoor or outdoor, the mounting location, available Ethernet and PoE infrastructure, required coverage area, and whether a mesh design is intended. Cisco's GR62 guidance specifically calls for attention to line of sight and coverage validation when the device is used in a mesh deployment. The repository model references GR12 and GR62 are supported, but the full rows GR12-HW-US and GR62-HW-US remain quote-validated because the reviewed guides do not print those complete regional ordering strings. HTS will confirm the regional SKU, power accessories, mounting, licensing, and deployment fit before issuing a quote.

How to choose

  • GR12 for the documented indoor model workflow
  • GR62 where the documented outdoor deployment model is required
  • Confirm US ordering suffix and power accessories
  • Confirm mounting, PoE, coverage, and mesh requirements
