The Bogen BPA60 solid-state power amplifier has been designed to fulfill the power amplification requirements of professional and commercial sound systems. The Model BPA60 supplies 60 watts RMS output. Total harmonic distortion is less than 2% at rated output from 50Hz to 15 kHz. Input impedances for the BPA60 are: high-impedance (50k ohms) unbalanced; and low impedance (500/600 ohms, balanced or unbalanced) using the WMT1A Line-Matching Transformer accessory, as per the following Application Note. Line-bridging may be achieved with accessory transformer Model TL100. Hum and noise are at least 85dB below rated output. The BPA60 amplifier may be driven from an amplifier that provides a 25- or 70-volt output (with WMT1A accessory). Output impedances for the BPA60 are: 8-ohm/25V, 16-ohm, 25VCT and 70V. Output regulation is better than 2dB from no load to full load. The BPA60 amplifier is thermally protected to prevent damage due to excessive temperatures. Additional protection is provided by transient protection diodes and an electrical circuit breaker. An illuminated on/off power switch is located on the front panel. An input level control, circuit breaker reset, lo-cut filter switch, and auxiliary receptacle are located on the rear panel. A rack panel kit (RPK53) is available for mounting the amplifier in a 19-inch equipment rack.

Both models are listed to UL Standard 60065 for US and Canada. The Classic Series is designed with discrete complementary transistor circuitry to assure maximum reliability of power output stages.

The Bogen Classic Series Models C35, C60, and C100 are public address mixer amplifiers that provide mixing of microphones, telephone, and auxiliary sources. Output screw terminals are provided for 4-ohm (direct) and 8-ohm (C35 & C60 models only), 16-ohm, 25V and 70V (transformer-coupled) speaker systems. Output jacks let you connect to a tape recorder or an additional booster amplifier, or feed a 600-ohm telephone line when an accessory transformer (Model WMT1A) is used.
